IIOur History
A Legacy Begun in 1919
The history of The Jackson Family Holdings begins in 1919 with J. Morton Jackson.
The enterprises he established became the foundation upon which succeeding generations of the Jackson family would build. Through changing industries, markets and generations, the family's interests have naturally evolved. The principles governing them have remained remarkably constant.
- Enterprise should be undertaken with missional conviction.
- Capital should be treated with catalytic commitment toward missional engagement.
- Success is measured by the missional impact made.
A core belief is that each generation is ultimately a torch bearer for the privilege of serving the Great Commission in greater degrees — building upon the work of the generation above to secure the impact of the generation that follows.
More than a century after J. Morton Jackson began his work, those principles continue to inform the governance of the family's interests and the purposes to which its resources are directed.
His legacy exists not simply in assets accumulated or enterprises established, but in an institution designed to endure and serve.
